Our usual dining table wasn't big enough to fit all our guests round it for Xmas lunch so I had to come up with a simple alternative. I bought an 8x4 piece of mdf, painted it and decorated it with black stencils. It was cut into 3 pieces and they were held together with hinges so that we can fold it up and keep it for next year. It seemed like a good idea to quickly knock something up in the fortnight before Xmas however it took me forever and I ended up staying til the early hours most nights!
